Our unique implant needle autoradiography and storage jig is an essential QA device for verification of loaded brachytherapy needles. It is made of a stainless steel base with an aluminum plate machined with 30 off-set grooves per side for positioning of loaded needles. The QA system features an aluminum cover.
After arranging the needles in the jig, simply place a Kodak 10x12 Redipack XV2 film on top of the needles. Place the aluminum cover onto the film. After five minutes, the radiation from the loaded needles exposes an image in the film. When processed, the film will verify correct loading of seeds and spacers within each needles, or indicate any discrepancies or missing seeds.
Features:
- 30 off-set grooves per side for positioning of loaded needles.
- Verifies correct loading of seeds and spacers within each needle.
- Indicates any discrepancies or missing seeds.
