The MOSFET 20 patient dose verification system is a high-performance, cost-effective dosimetry system for use in:
- standard patient dose verification;
- in-vivo dosimetry;
- total body irradiation dose measurements;
- measurements in brachytherapy catheters,
- radiosurgery; and
- MED-TEC’s IMRT/3D QA Phantom™.
Isotropic MOSFET dosimeters have no angular dependence, and the response is within ±2% for 360º.
The MOSFET 20 system can measure up to 20 MOSFET dosimeters, operating independently. The reader features a bright vacuum fluorescent display screen which is easy to read in all lighting conditions.
The MOSFET 20 patient dose verification system combines accuracy and minute size with the convenience of instant dose readout. MOSFET dosimeters, with an active area of less than 0.04mm2, are smaller than TLDs and make pinpoint dose measurement a reality.
Unlike diode-based systems, MOSFETS are suitable for both photon and electron radiation from 1MeV to 20MeV. There is no need to purchase separate dosimeters for various photon and electron energies. In addition, MOSFET detectors are dose-rate independent. This high-performance system is expandable from a standard configuration of 1-5 detectors to a maximum of 20 detectors, by adding up to three bias modules.
The processor/readout module is auto ranging, eliminating manual system manipulation. Dose readings are available in user-selected units, including cGy, R, or mV. The system retains up to 20 operator-entered calibration factors. Battery back-up preserves calibration factors, time and date settings after power-down.
The standard TN-RD-50 system includes a self-contained processor/readout module, an external bias module with five dosimeter ports, a power adapter, five MOSFET detectors, and connecting cables.
