| For patients undergoing treatment in the pelvic or lower abdomen area, immobilization with a Posicast or Posicast-Plus thermoplastic mask is efficient both in supine
and prone position.
The Posifix-12 is a carbon fiber system which allows treatments from any angle. The Posicast mask can be fixed to the baseplate at three different widths, making it
adjustable to the size of the patient. Between the upper legs the mask is fixed on an elevated part of the baseplate for easier handling.
The elevation block also secures the longitudinal position of the patient on the baseplate, which is fitted with a soft polyethylene support cushion. Accurate repositioning
is assured with the optional couchtop fixation, available for any type of treatment couch.
