Instead of using a rigid frame, which has to be wide enough to accommodate any head size, Sinmed has developed a unique and effective method of mask fixation. By using
radiotransparant L-profiles, fitted with durable quick fasteners, a rigid mask can be moulded around the contours of the patient. With this method air gaps between the
inside of the mask and the head of the patient are prevented, resulting in a very reliable and stable mask.
The reusable L-profiles are easily attached to the desired
Posicast precut before making the mask and remain on for the duration of the course of treatment. After that, they are attached to a new precut and can be used for a new
patient.
Sinmed also offers an alternative option for busy departments with heavy workloads: disposable L-profiles, pre-attached to the desired precut are ready
to use. These L-profiles offer a quick and cost effective alternative to the reusable carbon fiber L-profiles. |
