Posicast®-Elite
- The name says it all: top of the line. This perfectly mouldable material has a unique 'silky' coating on the inside that is in contact with
the skin.
- After moulding and during the entire treatment, this coating stays extremely comfortable and is therefore greatly appreciated by patients. The
outside coating is smooth and enables the technologist to make and eventually alter field markings easily. Posicast-Elite is available in Midiperfo
only, this perforation combines the best of both worlds: the openness of Multiperfo and the comfort and rigidity of Microperfo

Types of perforation
- Posicast thermoplastic materials are available in Multiperfo, Midiperfo and Microperfo versions, depending on the type of material.
- All perforations offer the ultimate in patient comfort and mask rigidity. Microperfo masks are preferred when small sized treatment fields are
to be marked onto the mask.
- Midiperfo combines the openness of Multiperfo and the comfort of Microperfo.

Application
- Posicast thermoplastics are heated in a hot water bath at 70 degrees Celsius. After removal from the bath, excess water on the material is removed
between two flat towels. This process lowers the temperature of the material to approximately 45 degrees Celsius after which the material is suitable
for application onto the skin.
- Posicast thermoplastic materials are to be handled by qualified clinical staff only. Please ask your local supplier or Sinmed for any assistance
required.
